ABOUT HOSPICE COLLEGE OF AMERICA
MISSION
The mission of Hospice College of America is to support the hospice concept of care for terminally ill people, with the goal of improving the American health care system, and the role of hospice within it.
Hospice College of America will provide support through programs of education designed to assist health care organizations, professionals and individuals with an interest in quality care near the end of life.
HOW DOES HOSPICE COLLEGE DO ITS WORK?
Hospice College of America meets its mission by providing opportunities for professional certification in end-of-life courses for health care professionals and others via the Internet and via home study. Our programs assist those who cope either personally or professionally with terminal illness, death, and the process of grief, and are offered on a national and regional basis.
HOW IS HOSPICE COLLEGE FUNDED?
Hospice College of America is supported primarily by fees from users, contributions from individuals and corporations, bequests, grants from foundations, gifts from associations, civic and fraternal groups.
Hospice College of America is a public charity chartered under section 501-C-(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations to the College are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. All donations are used to foster the hospice concept of care by developing new and innovative opportunities for professional certification in end of life care. By becoming part of the hospice family, donors help to increase access of this special kind of caring that is simply not available anywhere else.
